Todays vinyl is the first release on the new label of Alphaverb & Intractable one containing two awesome floorshakers, with lovely coverart done by Willem Tiemersma.
The A-side contains Play the games produced by Intractable one. A great track with raw vocals and synths wich makes this track so insane and lets it work greatly on the dancefloor, especially when the “make the rules” edit was played at Defqon 08, it rocked like hell! That’s actually the version I like more although it’s not a very big difference. The melody is good, and fits the track like it should, I also like the use of little vocals , the high female voice, trough the whole climax.
The B-side is my favorite alphaverb production till now, under the alias Gentalica. All the elements form a great package for the atmosphere in the track. I also like the intro part, wich u can use greatly to put over other tracks on nearly every spot, like most alphaverb intros can. I can’t really describe what it is that makes me so fond of this track, its just the whole feeling and atmosphere it has, the nice little vocals, the details and those kick/bass rythms he used, all of it is so authentic and original and that makes the track a real masterpiece in my eyes. The parts that I like the most are the buildups/breaks till the climaxes, the second one even with some cloud-sounds during thunder. No generic feeling at all and eye for every detail!
