Today's vinyl is one of the latest made by Headhunterz on his own administrated sublabel of scantraxx : Reloaded. Listen if you dare!
The a-side contains a great track (The fear of darkness), the one i bought the vinyl for. Specially the mid is cool of this track imo, it starts out with a good horrifying vocal and then lovely hard kicks, really hard, wich are nice to mix over another mid, because the mid of this track aint too "busy/chaotic" After that a good break kicks in, with again those horrifying vocals, but now they are longer, with some nice strings and atmosphere at the background. Then the vocal starts and the melody comes in, a more dark melody as usually for headhunterz wich makes this track more special. Then the bassline comes in, and i specially like the part where it goes straigthly up after the first 4 kicks. Really makes you wanna bang your fists in the air! Then those lovely mid kicks come back in, totally dry now, but that makes it awesome!
The b-side is a nice track too(a new day), but i didnt like it the first times i heard it. Specially those mids reminded me too much of a noisecontrollers track. But after a while it grow on me because that melody really is a good one. I also like the buildup, with the break melody allready starting before the mid comes in, and then not finish it with a climax but let it kick in a nice mid! Wich contains screeches who are very similar to an NC track (i believe its shreek?). Then comes the same buildupbreak again, but now it finishes with a good climax!
Overall a good vinyl, i lost a bit of faith in headhunterz before this vinyl due the tracks Just say my name, and a lot of Project One tracks (dont like most of them) and then he even made a track with almost the same screeches as NC! But The Fear of darkness brought him back to the good stuff again (in my opinion) and he finishes that off with some nice remixes of Project One and the Tonight vinyl!
