2-9 Seizure - Fear of Dancing (Scantraxx 016)

A1 Fear Of Dancing
A2 Da Noiz
B1 Beat You Back
B2 Da Groove

A nice old scantraxx vinyl, not very special but just a good one and its a 4 tracker! Produced by seizure , wich is Wildstylez and Ruben Hooyer. Bought this one in a big stack, listened it and liked it enough too keep it for the scantraxx collection. (started collecting august 08)

The a1 : Fear of dancing. Is a nice track with lots of reversed bass in the intro and mid. The mid has some vocals wich are used much, but in this track they are sampled more original as normally. The break contains a lot of little snares and some synths plus vocals. Then comes in some sort of jumpy kick to build up the oldschool way, firstly only kicks, and then kicks in the total bassline. Wich was used very much in early hardstyle, cool to find it in this track in 2005 too! The climax is very short, after it kicks in a nice reversed bass again. A good track but nothing really special i think.

The a2 : Da Noize. The buildup of this track is cool/original, and so is the vocal cutting just before the mid. The mid contains that vocal cutting too but now used as a sort of screech, really well produced. Offcourse this goes along with a nice reversed bassline. In this track you can really hear that the producers are some greatly talented youngsters. The second mid is slightly different and there is a nice producing trick right before it. The break and climax are good, but nothing special i think. Though the track will work greatly on a dancefloor due the continueing strong basslines.

The B1 : Beat You Back . The intro is nothing special, but the vocal cutting is quite nice. Again some vocals wich are used very often, they probably wherent the first with it. But thats no point if you effect and cut it as original as they do! Again some lovely reversed bass to keep the real hardstyle drive going. In the second midpart there are added some little screeches and later on it gets some vocals again. It sounds like this track doesnt have a real climax as we are used to as nowadays, i guess this track is more build as a "between" track wich can fit perfectly, because you can mix it in and out almost everywhere in the track as long as you watch the bass. Conclusion: its a fun track, good produced but a bit boring if you spin the total track, wich makes it a great track to fill in a little gap.

The B2 : Da Groove : Nice intro, not to boring. The reversed bass in this part is really nice, a simple distorted one but it does its work greatly. Together with some little vocals and some sidesounds. There is a little break before the mid, with an incoming screech and some snares. Wich comes (again) to a screechy reversed bass mid. Then there comes the "break" if you can call it that. Wich comes in quite originally, i love the way they used some distorted kicks and other sidesounds without making it sounding unnecessary. The climax is fine, but nothing really special or outstanding. I think i can conclude this track the same as the last one.

Overall its a nice vinyl if you love reversed bass like i do. But listening to all tracks is a bit of an overdose. You can hear in this vinyl that the producers are really talented and that they have a nice own sound on this one. I really enjoyed the little buildups and break parts wich are clearly original on this vinyl. They also used different kinds of buildups in the tracks not like it is in these days that 90% has the same build up.
